The Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue  has said it will soon begin the collection of N10 daily tax from traders and various operators in the informal sector.

In this bid, Chairman, Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue, Bicci Alli, led other revenue officers to major markets in Ibadan metropolis on Thursday.

The exercise was part of government’s efforts at increasing its revenue base toward execution of more development projects in the state.

The Acting Chairman, Agbaje Market, Pastor Samuel Orokunle, said the traders had all agreed on the annual payment of N3, 000, which he said, was less than N10 per day.
